FoxPro 2.0 and 2.5 Memory Footprints
with and without SunShow PLB Function Libraries

FoxPro2.0 and FoxPro 2.5

Non-Extended Mode FoxPro 2.0 leaves a 192K conventional memory area for user applications after loading itself.

Non-Extended Mode FoxPro 2.0 with SUNPRO20.PLB loaded, leaves a 92K conventional memory area for user applications after loading itself! SunShow's SUNPRO20.PLB requires 100K conventional memory.

Non-Extended Mode FoxPro 2.5 leaves a 245K conventional memory area for user applications after loading itself.

Non-Extended Mode FoxPro 2.5 with SUNPRO25.PLB loaded, leaves a 126K conventional memory area for user applications after loading itself! SunShow's SUNPRO25.PLB requires 119K conventional memory.

Extended Version FoxPro 2.5 (X) leaves a 406K conventional memory area for user applications after loading itself.

Extended Version FoxPro 2.5 (X) with SUNPRO25.PLB loaded, still leaves a 406K conventional memory area for user applications after loading itself! With FoxPro Extended, SunShow's SUNPRO25.PLB uses 0K conventional memory for itself! PLB functions when called, obviously do require conventional memory. The reason for this is while SunShow's .PLB Libraries are BiModal and the FoxPro interpreter can load itself into protected mode, a FoxPro application can only access real mode PLBs.
